On Saturday we attended the Lower Mainland Whippet Association specialty show at Peace Arch Park just over the border in BC. Branwen made it into the ribbons in both the 9-12 puppy bitch sweeps and regular classes: she was 4th in the sweeps class under Gale Lyttle (Galeforce) and 4th in the regular class under Lori Nelson (Wildfire). Lark was WB for 5 points! She now has the 10 required points for her Canadian championship, but since these points were only earned under two judges, and the requirements are that points be earned under three judges, she still needs one more win to finish the title. I hope to post some photos soon.
On Sunday we attended the LCLCA ASFA trial in Olympia, WA. Lark ran very well on a very challenging field, finishing 2nd in the open stake. This makes her FIFTH 2nd placement and she still just lacks a 1st to finish her title. Tiercel was also 2nd in the FCH stake.
Our next outing is in two weeks at the Whippet Club of BC and Western Gazehound Club specialties, also at Peace Arch Park.
