Please be prepared to wait some time to locate a responsibly bred whippet puppy, and don’t fall for the easy temptation of puppies more readily available from less reputable breeders.

If you are interested in adding a whippet to your family, here are some resources to assist in your search:

Nationally, the American Whippet Club website provides in-depth information on How to Find a Whippet and Finding a Breeder Near You.
In Canada, see the National Whippet Club of Canada’s How to Find a Whippet page.
The following West Coast whippet clubs maintain breeder referral pages or breeder listings on their websites with contact information and details about local breeders’ current availability of adults or puppies, and upcoming litter plans. For all these breeder listings, reach out to the listed breeders even if they do not have anything listed as available - the more contacts you make in the whippet community, the better your chances to find the right dog for your home.

Raven has been bred to Brad Briscoe’s Bruce with puppies confirmed by ultrasound and due around June 17. Bruce is the son of 2013 AWC National specialty winner GCH Lakota's Witch Witch Are You SC and CH Lightfall’s On a Raven’s Wing, who was also the sire of my 2005 More Birds litter. Beautiful, athletic, and outgoing black and brindle puppies expected. My waiting list for this litter is already very full, but please contact me with any inquiries or for more information.
